Job Description
Our client in California is seeking a Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 60-day assignment starting Apr 6, 2026. This role involves assisting with front-office communication, supporting clinical workflows, and participating in clinic operations and patient coordination, with typical shifts running 8a-4p or 8a-5p. The ideal candidate will contribute to a positive, proactive team culture by providing comprehensive patient care, assisting with examinations, and performing various clinical procedures.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Assisting with front-office communication
- Supporting clinical workflows across staff roles
- Participating in clinic operations and patient coordination
- Contributing to a positive, proactive team culture
- Room patients and obtain vital signs and clinical histories
- Assist physicians with examinations and procedures
- Prepare patients and rooms for procedures and treatments
- Administer injections, medications, and vaccines
- Perform select clinical procedures within scope of practice
- Assist with gynecologic examinations including Pap smears
- Support breast and pelvic exams as needed
- Document encounters accurately within the EMR
- Support house calls when needed
- Support Telemedicine needs
- Answer incoming patient calls and assist with triage
- Create and route telephone encounters appropriately
- Coordinate patient follow-up and care plans
- Maintain exceptional responsiveness and professionalism with patients
- Contribute to a high-touch concierge patient experience
