Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Connecticut. This opportunity starts Mar 2, 2026, and offers a Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm schedule. The provider will manage their own patient panel in a community health setting, seeing at least 20 patients per day, and should be comfortable with EMR charting and timely documentation.Job Details

Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage a personal patient panel in a busy primary care and family practice setting
- Provide care for patients with complex medical and behavioral health needs, including possible substance abuse, comorbidities, and dual diagnoses
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients on pain medication per clinical protocols
- Utilize EMR for efficient charting and documentation
- Deliver care to under-served and community health populations
- Maintain timely and accurate patient records
- See 2–3 patients per hour (at least 20 patients per day)
Additional Information
- Must hold an active Connecticut license
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
- Board certification in Family Medicine required
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Physician Assistant preferred
- Experience in community health and working with under-served populations strongly preferred
