Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in Massachusetts. This opportunity begins on Sep 29, 2025, with evening shifts from 3pm to 11pm, Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will bring prior corrections experience and be comfortable managing cases involving addiction, opioid use disorder, and prenatal care coordination, working alongside a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Round on sick patients during designated time windows, beginning at 7:30
  • Manage and coordinate care for patients with addiction and opioid use disorder
  • Provide support for prenatal care and consult with obstetric providers as needed
  • Collaborate closely with midlevel providers and coordinate with outside hospitals and doctors offices
  • Serve as a resource for onsite clinical teams, with regional director support available by phone
  • Ensure effective management of patient care within a correctional environment

Additional Information
  • Corrections experience required; no recent graduates
  • Must hold an active Massachusetts license as a Physician Assistant
  • Familiarity with prenatal care and addiction medicine strongly preferred
