We are seeking an experienced Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Maine, starting Feb 2, 2026. This solo provider opportunity involves primary care for all ages with a strong focus on geriatrics, Monday through Friday day shifts, including dedicated administrative time on Thursday afternoons.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Deliver comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, with an emphasis on geriatric care
  • Serve as the sole provider in the clinic, managing a broad spectrum of primary care cases
  • Conduct patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and manage ongoing treatment
  • Coordinate patient care, including preventive services and chronic disease management
  • Perform documentation and administrative responsibilities as assigned

Additional Information
  • Must hold an active Physician Assistant license in Maine
  • Required board certification in Family Medicine
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certifications required
  • Significant experience in primary care and geriatric medicine is essential; new graduates will not be considered
