We are seeking a dedicated Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 36-day locum tenens assignment in Minnesota, starting Jun 15, 2026. This role involves managing morning clinics from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM, followed by on-call responsibilities for the remainder of the day. The Physician Assistant will focus on patient check-ins, prescribing medications, and addressing acute illnesses and minor injuries.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Conduct morning clinic check-ups.
- Provide care for minor injuries including scrapes, cuts, burns, and sprains.
- Prescribe medications for acute illnesses such as strep, cold, cough, and flu, including ointments, antibiotics, and penicillin.
- Order and send out diagnostic tests.
- Assume on-call responsibilities for the remainder of the day, responding only if ambulance intervention is required.
- Collaborate with on-site RNs and health aides who manage daily cases.
