Job Description

Our client in Nebraska is seeking a dedicated Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 48-day assignment starting Mar 9, 2026. This role involves working Tuesday through Friday from 7:00am to 6:00pm, providing comprehensive family medicine care, managing acute and chronic illnesses, and potentially handling urgent care type visits, with the possibility of working as the sole provider.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive family medicine care to patients of all ages.
  • Manage common acute illnesses such as colds, coughs, and flu.
  • Oversee chronic disease management for conditions like diabetes and hypertension.
  • Conduct well women's exams and treat STIs/UTIs.
  • Perform physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans for acute and chronic conditions.
  • Handle urgent care type visits including lacerations, minor injuries, trauma, suturing, and ingrown toenail removal.
  • Work independently as a sole provider when needed.
