We are seeking an experienced Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 65-day locum tenens assignment in New York, starting Mar 2, 2026. This opportunity offers Monday through Friday coverage with day shifts at a hospital-owned primary care office, providing both clinical and administrative hours in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide primary care services to patients in a Family Medicine setting
• Manage an independent patient panel, with an average of 18+ office visits per day
• Conduct patient appointments scheduled in 15- and 30-minute increments
• Perform clinical assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning
• Complete administrative duties with flexible scheduling for admin days
• Collaborate with office support staff and a tenured LPN
• Coordinate with a supervising physician who is available by phone when off-site
• Deliver care independently several days per week without on-site physician supervision

Additional Information

• Active Physician Assistant license required for New York
• Board certification in Family Medicine required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Candidates with rural health experience strongly preferred
• Must be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
