Job Description

We are seeking a Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 68-day locum tenens assignment in Pennsylvania, starting Sep 15, 2025. This full-time role requires Monday through Friday shifts from 8am to 4:30pm, focusing on a variety of primary care tasks including sick calls, chronic care, and preventative measures.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Conduct sick call assessments and rounding
  • Manage chronic and preventative care procedures and follow-ups
  • Operate preventative care clinics
  • Participate in infirmary rounds specifically for internal medicine cases
  • Handle trauma triage situations
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date charting notes
  • Manage medication refills
  • Address medical non-compliance among patients
  • Assist in morning PA/NP lines, including suture removal and follow-ups


Additional Information

  • Required Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Previous correctional facility experience is advantageous but not mandatory
