Job Description

We are seeking a Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 65-day locum tenens assignment in Pennsylvania. This opportunity starts Dec 15, 2025, with full-time day shifts from 7:30am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday. The provider will support a medium security facility, offering sick call services, chronic and preventative care, and trauma triage. Prior correctional experience is a plus for this dynamic and impactful role.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Conduct sick call and rounding
  • Manage chronic and preventative care procedures and follow-ups
  • Operate preventative care clinics
  • Perform infirmary rounds for internal medicine cases as needed
  • Provide trauma triage services
  • Complete charting notes and documentation
  • Handle medication refills
  • Participate in morning PA/NP lines (suture removal, follow ups, etc)
  • Address patient medication non-compliance


Additional Information

  • Must hold active Pennsylvania PA license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Correctional experience is a plus
  • Experience with EMR systems preferred
