Job Description

We are seeking a Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 65-day locum tenens assignment with our client in Pennsylvania. Starting Dec 29, 2025, this full-time opportunity features day shifts from 7:30am to 4pm, Monday through Friday. The Physician Assistant will provide care in a correctional setting, focusing on sick call, chronic and preventive care, and trauma triage. Candidates with correctional experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Conduct sick call and rounding
  • Manage chronic and preventive care procedures and follow-ups
  • Provide care during preventative care clinics
  • Perform infirmary rounds for internal medicine cases as needed
  • Triage trauma cases
  • Complete charting and documentation
  • Handle medication refills
  • Participate in morning PA/NP lines (suture removal, follow-ups, etc.)
  • Address medication non-compliance with patients


Additional Information

  • Active Physician Assistant license for Pennsylvania required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Correctional experience is a plus
