Job Description

We are seeking a Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 6-week locum tenens assignment in Washington. This opportunity begins on Sep 11, 2025, and features a rotating weekday and weekend schedule with 12-hour shifts on weekdays and 8-hour shifts on weekends. The assignment focuses on urgent care presentations such as Covid testing, X-rays, food poisoning, hives and rashes, ear aches and infections, and eye irritations.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Perform Covid testing and interpret results
  • Conduct and evaluate X-rays as appropriate for patient complaints
  • Diagnose and treat cases of food poisoning
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage hives and rashes
  • Evaluate and treat ear aches and infections
  • Diagnose and manage eye irritations
  • Deliver patient care in accordance with established protocols and standards

Additional Information
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required
  • Active Washington license required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and DEA certification required
  • Experience with Athenahealth EMR preferred
