We are seeking a board-certified Family Practice Physician for a 52-day locum tenens assignment in Arizona. This opportunity begins on Nov 17, 2025, with 10-hour day shifts, Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday. Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide direct and indirect medical care to address the healthcare needs of patients within the facility
- Formulate working diagnoses, develop and implement treatment plans, and evaluate or modify therapeutic regimens
- Evaluate patients returning from off-site treatment
- Respond to and initiate care for medical emergencies throughout the facility
- Coordinate, lead, and participate in educational and training activities related to patient care
Additional Information
- Correctional facility experience preferred, but not required
- Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine required per state agreement
- Must hold a valid Arizona medical license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certifications required
- Familiarity with TechCare EMR preferred
- Start date may depend on completion of Department of Corrections clearance and submission of required documentation
