Responsibilities and Duties
Provide direct and indirect medical care to address the healthcare needs of patients within the facility
Formulate working diagnoses, develop and implement treatment plans, and evaluate or modify therapeutic regimens
Evaluate patients returning from off-site treatment
Respond to and initiate care for medical emergencies throughout the facility
Coordinate, lead, and participate in educational and training activities related to patient care
Additional Information
Correctional facility experience preferred, but not required
Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine required per state agreement
Must hold a valid Arizona medical license
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certifications required
Familiarity with TechCare EMR preferred
Start date may depend on completion of Department of Corrections clearance and submission of required documentation
