Job Description

Our client, a clinic located in CA, is requesting locum tenens coverage from a Family Practice Physician starting August 25, 2025 for 80 days. The position requires flexibility, with weekly travel to 1-3 locations based on need, and the possibility of extended stays in certain areas. Applicants should be able to work Mon-Fri: 8am-5pm and be comfortable using Athenahealth EMR system. The ideal candidate will possess a valid CA medical license, experience in FQHC, primary care, and urgent care settings, and demonstrate proficiency in working with Spanish-speaking patients.


Location: California

Start Date: August 25, 2025

Expected End Date: December 31, 2025

Shift Hours: 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday

EMR System: Athenahealth

LOA: 80 days

Facility Type: Multiple clinical locations


Duties Include:

  • Traveling to multiple family practice locations depending on weekly needs, with the possibility of urgent care settings.

Requirements:

  • Must possess a DO/MD degree.
  • Valid CA medical license.
  • Experience in FQHC, primary care, and urgent care settings.
  • Proven ability to work with Spanish speaking patient populations.
  • Clean background, with the understanding that all submissions need to attach an NPDB.
