Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Family Practice Physician for a locum tenens assignment in California, beginning Nov 1, 2025. This 10-week opportunity offers flexible scheduling for two days per week, Monday through Friday, with 8 am to 4 pm day shifts. The physician will provide care to geriatric patients in a skilled nursing home environment.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Travel between two facilities throughout the week
  • Conduct admissions, discharges, and regulatory visits
  • Perform rounding on patients
  • Complete histories and physicals (H&Ps) on new patients
  • Manage ongoing patient care
  • Carry out clearance assessments before patient discharge

Additional Information
  • Experience with geriatric patients required; skilled nursing home experience preferred
  • Active California medical license required
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and DEA certification required
