Job Description
We are seeking a Family Practice Physician for a 48-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Dec 8, 2025. This outpatient primary care role offers 7:30am-5:00pm day shifts, typically 1–2 days per week, with an increase to 3 days weekly beginning Mar 2026. The ideal candidate has at least two years of experience and is comfortable seeing patients of all ages in a full-scope family practice setting.Job Details

Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages in a family practice setting
- Oversee and manage coverage for 20–25 cases per eight-hour shift
- Deliver care in an outpatient clinic, ensuring quality service for a diverse patient population
- Utilize Athenahealth EMR for patient documentation and care coordination
- Communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking patients (Spanish proficiency preferred, but not required)
- Collaborate with dental and dermatology services as needed within the health center
Additional Information
- Minimum two years of relevant clinical experience required
- California medical license and board certification in Family Medicine required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Six-month commitment needed
- Experience in intergenerational or community health settings is advantageous
