Job Description

We are seeking a Family Medicine Physician for a 60-day locum tenens assignment with our client in California, beginning Jan 12, 2026. This full-scope family practice role features day shifts, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, providing primary care to patients of all ages in an outpatient clinic setting.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Deliver comprehensive primary care services in a family practice outpatient clinic
  • Manage acute care cases, including cold, cough, and flu
  • Provide follow-up care for behavioral health and substance abuse patients
  • Offer care for geriatrics, adults, women’s health, and LGBTQIA patients (including HIV and PrEP testing)
  • See patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics
  • Utilize Athenahealth EMR for patient documentation and workflow
  • Communicate effectively with a diverse patient population; Spanish speaking is highly preferred

Additional Information
  • Must have current California medical license
  • Board certification in Family Medicine required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Preference for candidates comfortable with diverse patient populations and Spanish-speaking patients
