We are seeking a Family Practice Physician for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in Massachusetts, starting Sep 22, 2025. The position offers a preferred full-time schedule with day and evening shifts, Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive primary care, including preventive services, acute care, and chronic disease management.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Diagnose and treat a range of illnesses and conditions
  • Provide preventive care, including routine checkups, health-risk assessments, immunizations, and screening tests
  • Offer personalized counseling on maintaining a healthy lifestyle
  • Deliver acute care services for urgent health issues
  • Manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, asthma, and hypertension
  • Collaborate with a team that includes medical assistants; Spanish or Haitian Creole language skills are a plus
  • Utilize Athenahealth EMR for documentation and patient management


Additional Information

  • Must be licensed to practice in Massachusetts
  • Spanish speaking preferred; interpretation services and bilingual MAs available
  • Board certification not required for this role
