Locum Tenens Physician - Family Practice Needed in MN

 We are seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Family Practice Physician for a locum tenens position in Minnesota. This comprehensive role offers a 30-day assignment starting on 07/16/2025, at a Hospital setting. The schedule includes clinic hours Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, with additional ED coverage from 5pm Friday to 8am Monday. The position involves primary and secondary call responsibilities, as well as weekend call, totaling 50-60+ hours per week. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing both clinic and ED patients, performing hospital rounds, and working with Epic EMR system.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide primary care services in the clinic, seeing 14-16 patients per day (mix of adults and pediatrics)

• Cover ED as needed and serve as the solo provider in the emergency department

• Perform hospital rounds (3-5 patients, approximately 1 hour per day during clinic hours)

• Manage primary call, secondary call, and weekend call responsibilities

• Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) on site

• Utilize Epic EMR system for documentation and patient management

• Demonstrate flexibility in handling both clinic and emergency medicine duties

• Provide comprehensive care to a diverse patient population in a rural setting

Additional Information:

• Board certification or board eligibility in Family Medicine required

• Active Minnesota medical license required

• Strong clinical skills in both primary care and emergency medicine essential
