We are seeking a skilled Family Practice Physician for a locum tenens teaching position at a Hospital in North Carolina. This 120-day assignment begins on 08/04/2025, with potential for extension. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in an outpatient clinic setting, overseeing residents, and managing a wide range of family medicine cases. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with optional resident didactics on Friday afternoons from 1 PM to 5 PM. Responsibilities include precepting 6-8 residents per day, managing patients with conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, heart failure, and providing general family medicine care including physicals, check-ups, and treatment of acute and chronic issues.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Oversee and precept 6-8 residents per day in an outpatient clinic setting
• Provide comprehensive family medicine care to patients of all ages
• Manage chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and heart failure
• Conduct physical examinations and check-ups
• Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, including colds and flu
• Address minor injuries, scratches, and sprains
• Manage and follow up on chronic health issues
• Collaborate with another attending physician in the clinic
• Utilize Epic EMR for patient management and record-keeping
• Maintain a high standard of patient care and resident education
• Participate in Friday afternoon resident didactics (optional)
• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
Additional Information:
• Must be licensed to practice medicine in North Carolina
• Proficiency in Epic EMR required
• Experience in teaching and working with residents preferred
