We are seeking an experienced Hospitalist for a locum tenens assignment in New Mexico, beginning Dec 20, 2025. This 84-day contract offers a 7 on 7 off schedule with 24-hour hospitalist coverage, morning rounds, and optional light-volume clinic support four days per week. The ideal candidate will be board certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine and comfortable managing rural health hospitalist responsibilities.

Schedule: 7 on 7 off; 24-hour hospitalist coverage with morning rounds. Option to work in clinic (Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm) for 4 days/week during assignment weeks; provider may choose clinic days.
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide 24-hour inpatient hospitalist coverage during scheduled weeks
Perform morning rounds and manage acute and chronic patient care needs
Optionally support outpatient clinic with light patient volumes, four days per week as chosen
Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner EMR
Adhere to all hospital policies and quality standards
Additional Information
Must be licensed to practice in New Mexico
Required board certifications: Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
Experience in rural health hospitalist settings preferred
NPDB report required as part of submission
