Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Family Practice Physician for a 240-day assignment starting Jun 15, 2026, in New Mexico. This role involves full-spectrum Family Medicine, including outpatient clinic, inpatient care, OB care, and emergency care support, with a Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM schedule. The Physician will be responsible for H&P, diagnosis, treatment planning, and managing acute and chronic conditions.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide full-spectrum Family Medicine, including outpatient clinic, inpatient care (average census 5–15), OB care, and emergency care support for a 24/7 facility.
  • Conduct history and physicals, establish diagnoses, and develop treatment plans.
  • Order and interpret laboratory results and imaging studies.
  • Manage both acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Admit patients and coordinate higher level care as needed.
  • Perform rounding and provide call coverage.
  • Educate patients and ensure appropriate follow-up care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation according to CMS and Joint Commission standards.


Additional Information

  • Board Certification in Family Medicine required.
  • Experience with RPMS EMR system.
  • Patient population includes Native American and Alaska Native communities, with a mix of Zuni Tribe and Navajo Nation. Culturally sensitive care is important.
