Job Description

We are seeking a Family Practice Physician for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in Pennsylvania starting on Oct 13, 2025. This full-time opportunity offers day shifts, Monday through Friday, from 8am to 4:30pm, supporting a corrections population with a diverse range of clinical responsibilities.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Conduct daily infirmary rounds each morning
  • Perform sick call evaluations
  • Complete physicals, emergency consults, and admissions consults
  • Round on restricted housing units once per week
  • Manage common cases including cold, cough, flu, sutures, and splinting
  • Review EMR queues, lab, and x-ray results
  • Maintain accurate and thorough charting


Additional Information

  • Active Pennsylvania license required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Corrections experience is a plus
  • Experience in family practice, internal medicine, or urgent care is preferred
  • EMR experience required (system: Other)
