Job Description

We are seeking a Family Practice Physician for an engaging 60-day assignment in Pennsylvania, starting May 11, 2026. This role involves comprehensive patient care, including daily rounds, various consults, and thorough charting. Shifts are scheduled from 7:30am to 4pm, focusing on diverse units such as skilled geriatric care, psychiatric patient management, and chronic illness follow-ups.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Conduct daily rounds in the morning.
  • Perform physicals, emergency consults, admissions consults, and provide general patient consultations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely charting.
  • Review EMR queues, lab results, and x-ray reports.
  • Provide medical services within a 60-bed skilled geriatric unit, managing chronic care cases, oxygen-dependent patients, and wheelchair-bound individuals.
  • Deliver medical care to patients in psychiatric units.
  • Conduct MAT Program follow-ups every three months for patients on Vivitrol and Revia, including those with a dual diagnosis component for addiction.
  • Monitor approximately eight transgender patients, managing bloodwork and medication.
  • Handle chronic care management, including chronic care clinics every six months, with extreme cases referred out.
  • Perform physicals: yearly for patients over 50, and every three years for those under 50.
  • Round on sick inmates during sick calls, with cases divided among staff providers, highest volume on Mondays.
  • Run chronic and preventative care procedures and follow-ups.
  • Conduct foot clinics, including ingrown toenail care, dremel, and clipping for diabetes patients.
  • Manage cases related to patient medication non-compliance.
