Locum Tenens Physician - Family Practice Needed in SD

Job Description

We are seeking a Family Practice Physician for a 120-day assignment starting Jun 1, 2026, in South Dakota. This role involves a schedule of M-Th, Tu-Fri, or M-F from 7 AM to 5 PM, with rotating weeknight and weekend on-call duties. The physician will be responsible for 90% clinic and 10% in-patient care, including rounding on a small inpatient census and managing related calls.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide comprehensive Bread & Butter Family Practice care.
• Manage Pannell PC patients, including those with Hypertension, Diabetes, and other chronic conditions.
• Deliver 90% clinic-based care and 10% in-patient services.
• Participate in alternate weeks of rounding on 0-2 inpatients in the hospital, in addition to clinic duties.
• Take night call to manage calls from 0-2 inpatients in the hospital on a 1 in 3 rotation.
• Provide weekend call coverage on a 1 in 3 rotation.

• Required Board Certifications: Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• EMR System: RPMS
