Barton Associates is seeking a Family Practice Physician for a unique locum tenens position in Texas. This 12-day assignment, starting May 12, 2025, offers flexible, as-needed coverage. The ideal candidate will be comfortable overseeing policies and providers across multiple states, primarily Texas, Illinois, California, and New York. Responsibilities include reviewing and directing protocols, overseeing providers, and other administrative duties. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to work across different state healthcare systems. The position utilizes Kareo software and offers potential for extension.

Job Details: 

Location: Texas 

Start Date: May 12, 2025 

LOA: 12 days 

Provider Type Needed: Physician (Family Practice) 

Schedule: As needed basis

Job Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Oversee and implement healthcare policies across multiple states 

• Direct and manage providers in Texas, Illinois, California, and New York 

• Review and establish medical protocols 

• Provide guidance and leadership to healthcare teams 

• Ensure compliance with state-specific healthcare regulations 

• Collaborate with administrative staff to optimize healthcare delivery 

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives 

• Utilize Kareo software for administrative tasks 

• Attend virtual or in-person meetings as required

Additional Information: 

• Medical license required in at least one of the following states: CA, IL, NY, or TX 

• Experience in multi-state healthcare administration preferred 

• Strong communication and leadership skills essential 

• Flexibility to work on an as-needed basis
