Locum Tenens Physician - Family Practice Needed in WA

Job Description

We are seeking a Family Practice Physician for an 80-day locum tenens assignment in Washington, starting Jan 5, 2026. This role offers a Monday to Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with one Saturday per month negotiable. Candidates must have at least 2 years post-residency experience, including direct care of newborns, and prior community health center experience is required. Proficiency with Centricity EMR is preferred.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, with emphasis on newborn and infant care
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic health conditions within a community health center setting
• Perform routine physical exams, preventive care, and health screenings
• Prescribe medications and develop patient-centered treatment plans
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
• Maintain accurate patient records using Centricity EMR
• Adhere to all clinical protocols and regulatory requirements

Additional Information

• Must be board certified in Family Medicine
• Active Washington state medical license required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
• Minimum 2 years out of residency with direct experience treating newborns
• Prior experience in a community health center is mandatory
