Responsibilities and Duties
Perform forensic autopsies on patients ranging from infants (1 week old) to the elderly
Complete toxicology screening for all cases; mandatory for infant autopsies and drug-related deaths
Conduct X-rays for gunshot wound cases
Determine when to order slides for natural cases, such as GI bleeds
Request histology for questionable cancer or natural cases, with tissue saved for every case
Ensure certification for child death pathology to perform autopsies on infants
Manage 3–4 cases per day
Additional Information
