Job Description

 Barton Associates is seeking a Gastroenterologist for a locum tenens position in Georgia. This 130-day assignment begins on 07/21/2025, with potential for extension. The provider will work Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with a minimum commitment of two weeks per month. This outpatient role requires expertise in advanced procedures, including ERCP and EUS. The gastroenterologist will perform procedures four days per week, including EGDs, colonoscopies, and endoscopies, with one half-day dedicated to clinic and administrative duties. This position offers flexibility, with opportunities ranging from two weeks to full-time coverage.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform advanced gastroenterological procedures, including ERCP and EUS

• Provide clinical consultations during weekly half-day clinic

• Complete administrative tasks during allocated time

• Utilize Meditech EHR for patient documentation

• Collaborate with hospital staff and other specialists as needed

• Ensure high-quality patient care and follow-up

• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of gastroenterological practices and techniques


Additional Information:

• Georgia state medical license required
