Job Description

Our client in Georgia is actively seeking an experienced Internal Medicine Physician for a 123-day locum tenens assignment, commencing Apr 27, 2026. This full-time opportunity requires availability Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM. The role primarily involves performing a comprehensive range of critical GI procedures and efficiently managing clinic patients, targeting an average of 12 patient encounters per shift.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform various GI procedures including Upper GI endoscopy, Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, Upper GI endoscopy with foreign body removal, Upper GI endoscopy with fulguration of bleeder (cautery versus laser), Esophageal manometry interpretation, Small Bowel biopsy, Lower GI endoscopy, Flexible Sigmoidoscopy, Colonoscopy, Colonoscopy with biopsy, and Colonoscopy with excision of polyp.
  • See patients in clinic, averaging approximately 12 patient encounters per shift.
