Job Description

We are seeking a Board Certified Gastroenterologist for a 27-day locum tenens assignment in Hawaii beginning Feb 16, 2026. This opportunity features an 8a-5p schedule, with clinic and outpatient scopes only—no ERCP or EUS. The assignment runs Tuesday through Thursday, with clinic days on Tuesday and Wednesday and OR procedures on Thursday.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide outpatient gastroenterology care in a clinic setting
  • Perform outpatient scopes as scheduled
  • Conduct 10-12 OR cases each Thursday
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation using Cerner EMR
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure high standards of patient care
  • Adhere to all clinical protocols and safety procedures

Additional Information
  • Board Certification in Gastroenterology required
  • Must have an active Hawaii medical license
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
  • Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
  • Hard start date with no flexibility
