Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Gastroenterology Physician for an engaging 60-day locum tenens assignment in Kentucky, beginning Apr 6, 2026. This vital role involves comprehensive M-F clinic coverage from 8am to 5pm, alongside dedicated weeknight call from 5pm to 8am. The selected Physician will be responsible for a wide array of gastroenterological procedures, including various endoscopies, biopsies, and therapeutic interventions, ensuring continuity of patient care.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide M-F clinic coverage, 8am - 5pm.
- Manage weeknight call responsibilities, 5pm - 8am.
- Perform Upper GI endoscopy.
- Conduct Biopsies.
- Execute Foreign body removal.
- Perform fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser).
- Administer injection of varices.
- Conduct ERCP (Diagnostic & Therapeutic).
- Perform Small Bowel biopsy.
- Execute Lower GI endoscopy.
- Perform Sigmoidoscopy (Flexible and Rigid).
- Conduct Colonoscopy with biopsy & excision of polyp.
- Perform Liver biopsy.
Additional Information
- Board Certification in Gastroenterology required.
- Experience with Meditech EHR system.
