Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Gastroenterology Physician for an engaging 60-day locum tenens assignment in Kentucky, beginning Apr 6, 2026. This vital role involves comprehensive M-F clinic coverage from 8am to 5pm, alongside dedicated weeknight call from 5pm to 8am. The selected Physician will be responsible for a wide array of gastroenterological procedures, including various endoscopies, biopsies, and therapeutic interventions, ensuring continuity of patient care.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide M-F clinic coverage, 8am - 5pm.
  • Manage weeknight call responsibilities, 5pm - 8am.
  • Perform Upper GI endoscopy.
  • Conduct Biopsies.
  • Execute Foreign body removal.
  • Perform fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser).
  • Administer injection of varices.
  • Conduct ERCP (Diagnostic & Therapeutic).
  • Perform Small Bowel biopsy.
  • Execute Lower GI endoscopy.
  • Perform Sigmoidoscopy (Flexible and Rigid).
  • Conduct Colonoscopy with biopsy & excision of polyp.
  • Perform Liver biopsy.


Additional Information

  • Board Certification in Gastroenterology required.
  • Experience with Meditech EHR system.
