Job Description

We are seeking a Gastroenterologist Physician for a 120-day assignment in Kentucky, starting Jun 1, 2026. Our client is looking for a professional to provide M-F clinic coverage from 8am to 4:30pm, complemented by weeknight call from 4:30pm to 8am. This role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, including various upper and lower GI endoscopic procedures, biopsies, and foreign body removal to ensure comprehensive patient care.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform Upper GI endoscopy, including biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder (cautery versus laser), and injection of varices.
  • Conduct Small Bowel biopsy.
  • Execute Lower GI endoscopy, including flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy.
  • Perform Colonoscopy with biopsy and excision of polyp.
  • Conduct Liver biopsy.
  • ERCP and EUS skills are preferred but not required.


Additional Information

  • Board Certification in Gastroenterology is required.
  • Experience with Meditech EHR system.
