Job Description

We are seeking a board-certified Gastroenterologist for a 179-day locum tenens assignment in Ohio, starting Jan 5, 2026. This full-time opportunity features 24-hour shifts, including day coverage and beeper call responsibilities on nights and weekends. Candidates must be proficient in EUS and ERCP and able to commit to at least 7 consecutive days per month, with the possibility of extension beyond the initial three-month coverage period.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide comprehensive gastroenterology coverage during 24-hour shifts
  • Perform required procedures including EUS, ERCP, colonoscopy, and polypectomy
  • Conduct esophageal, duodenal, and luminal stent placements
  • Manage inpatient and beeper call responsibilities as scheduled
  • Maintain high standards of patient care and clinical documentation

Additional Information
  • Must be board certified in Gastroenterology
  • Active Ohio state medical license required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
  • Required procedural experience in the past two years:
  • ERCP (150 cases)
  • Esophageal/duodenal/luminal stent placement (20 cases)
  • Colonoscopy and polypectomy (100 cases)
