Job Description

Our client is actively seeking a skilled Physician specializing in Gastroenterology for a 21-day assignment in Ohio, commencing on Feb 16, 2026. This role involves 24-hour shifts, including 7a-3p with night beeper call during the week and full 24-hour beeper call on weekends. The successful candidate will primarily focus on performing critical procedures such as EUS and ERCP, alongside various other gastrointestinal interventions including stent placement, colonoscopy, and polypectomy.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage 24-hour shifts, including 7a-3p with night beeper call Monday through Friday, and 24-hour beeper call on weekends.
  • Perform required procedures including EUS and ERCP.
  • Conduct Argon plasma coagulation.
  • Perform mucosal biopsies of the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, and colon.
  • Execute colonoscopy with or without polypectomy.
  • Provide diagnostic and therapeutic EGD, including foreign body or polyp removal.
  • Perform enteral feeding tube placement.
  • Conduct esophageal dilation using balloon, bougie, or Savary methods.
  • Perform flexible sigmoidoscopy.
  • Execute GI motility studies and 24-hour pH monitoring.
  • Manage nonvariceal hemostasis for upper and lower GI bleeds.
  • Perform PEG tube placement.
  • Handle esophageal, duodenal, and luminal stent placement.


Additional Information

  • Board Certification: Gastroenterology
  • EMR System: Epic
  • Required ERCP case logs: 150 in the past two years.
  • Required Esophageal, Duodenal, or Luminal stent placement: 20 cases in the past two years.
  • Required Colonoscopy and polypectomy: 100 cases in the past two years for initial appointment.
