Job Description

We are seeking a board-certified Gastroenterologist for a locum tenens position in Wisconsin, starting Jan 12, 2026, for a 120-day assignment. This full-time opportunity offers Monday through Friday day shifts, combining clinic and GI procedures, with flexible scheduling and optional weekday call.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, clinic and GI procedures (colonoscopy and EGD); Mon–Tue may be clinic or procedures; Wed–Fri primarily procedures; Friday can be half or full day based on GI suite availability; optional one weekday call; no weekends

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Perform upper GI endoscopy, including:
  • Biopsy
  • Foreign body removal
  • Fulguration of bleeder (cautery or laser)
  • Injection of varices
  • Conduct small bowel biopsy
  • Perform lower GI endoscopy
  • Conduct colonoscopy, including:
  • Biopsy
  • Excision of polyp
  • Provide both clinic and procedural care as scheduled

Additional Information
  • Wisconsin medical license required
  • Board certification in Gastroenterology required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Fellowship training preferred
