Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Surgery - General Needed in MD

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner - Surgery - General for our client in Maryland, starting Jun 1, 2026. This 36-day assignment requires nocturnist APP coverage from 5pm-6am, focusing on cross coverage of inpatient floors, monitoring post-op patients, and performing H&Ps on new surgical admissions within General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, and Gastroenterology.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide nocturnist APP coverage for general surgery patients.
• Perform cross coverage of inpatient floors, including General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, and Gastroenterology.
• Monitor post-op surgery patients comprehensively.
• Conduct H&Ps on new surgical admissions.
• Collaborate effectively with on-call attending physicians as needed.
• Note: No procedures or first assist required.

• Required Board Certifications: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (ACNP-BC)
