Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Surgery - General Needed in MD

Job Description

We are seeking a General Surgery Nurse Practitioner to join our client in Maryland for a 36-day assignment starting Jun 1, 2026. This nocturnist role involves providing inpatient general surgery floor coverage, including cross-coverage of multiple surgical specialties, monitoring post-operative patients, and performing H&Ps on new admissions, with shifts from 5pm-6am.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide general surgery nocturnist APP coverage for inpatient floors.
• Perform cross-coverage of inpatient floors for General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, and Gastroenterology.
• Monitor post-operative surgery patients.
• Conduct H&Ps on new surgical admissions.
• Collaborate with on-call attending as needed.
• No procedures or first assist required for this role.

• Board Certification: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (ACNP-BC)

• Shift Hours: 5pm-6am (including 1 hour for sign out)
