Job Description

We are seeking a General Surgery Nurse Practitioner for a 52-day assignment in Maryland, starting May 4, 2026. The incoming professional will handle 12-hour in-house shifts, focusing on floor work primarily during nights, with no operating room time. Duties will involve a wide range of general surgery, GI, and vascular cases, including perforated ulcers, limb salvage, and wound care, with opportunities to assist with a new robotics program.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide 12-hour in-house shifts.
  • Focus on floor work only, no OR time.
  • Work nights only at the moment.
  • Manage a vast majority of general surgery, GI, and vascular cases.
  • See bread and butter general surgery, limb salvage, and wound care cases.
  • Cases include perforated ulcers, perforated viscus, soft tissue issues, cold leg, aneurisms, and acute care surgical cases.
  • May see some GYN and podiatry cases if able.
  • Excludes cardiac or thoracic cases.
  • Opportunity to assist with a new robotics program.
