We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner specializing in General Surgery for a locum tenens position at a Hospital in New York. This 8-day assignment begins on 07/04/2025, with potential for extension. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with robotics (Da Vinci), OB (c-sections), lumpectomies, hernias, laparoscopy, gallbladder, and appendix procedures. The work schedule includes day shifts from 7 AM to 3 PM and on-call coverage. This opportunity offers a combination of Surgical First Assist, Operating Room time, and Medical Surgical Floor coverage. The NP will serve as a First Assist in the OR, covering Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 3 PM, with one night of call per week.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Serve as Surgical First Assist in the Operating Room
• Provide Medical Surgical Floor coverage
• Assist in robotic surgeries using Da Vinci system
• Participate in OB procedures, including c-sections
• Perform lumpectomies, hernia repairs, and laparoscopic procedures
• Assist in gallbladder and appendix surgeries
• Utilize Epic EMR for patient management and record-keeping
• Maintain a high standard of patient care and satisfaction
• Collaborate with surgical team and other healthcare professionals
• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Provide on-call coverage as scheduled
Additional Information:
• Must be licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in New York
• Proficiency in Epic EMR required
• Experience with Da Vinci robotic system preferred
