We are seeking a skilled General Surgery Nurse Practitioner for a 16-day locum tenens assignment in New York, starting Sep 1, 2025. This role involves first assisting in the OR with responsibilities across General Surgery, including OBGYN and Orthopedics. The schedule comprises day shifts from Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 3 PM, with one night of call per week. This opportunity requires a New York license and proficiency with the Epic EMR system.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Serve as First Assistant in various surgical procedures.
• Participate in a broad range of cases including General Surgery, OBGYN, and Orthopedics.
• Ensure all operations conform to established surgical techniques and procedures.
• Collaborate with surgical teams and other medical professionals to provide top-tier patient care.
• Manage preoperative and postoperative patient care.

Additional Information

• Board certification in General Surgery required.
• Must have an active New York license.
• Recent experience with the Epic EMR system necessary.
• Trauma experience, especially at a trauma center, is essential.
• Robotics experience is advantageous, though not mandatory.
• Certifications Needed: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); Basic Life Support (BLS).
