This unique opportunity requires coverage for 10-hour shifts, two days a week, with flexible scheduling options. The ideal candidate will exclusively work with the new DaVinci Robot, first assisting in a wide variety of surgical cases including hepatobiliary, colorectal, general surgery, urology, gynecology, and gynecologic oncology. Responsibilities and Duties:
• First assist in robotic surgeries using the DaVinci Robot system
• Participate in a variety of surgical cases, including hepatobiliary, colorectal, general surgery, urology, gynecology, and gynecologic oncology
• Prepare patients for surgery and ensure proper positioning
• Assist in operating room setup and equipment preparation
• Maintain a sterile field and adhere to all safety protocols
• Collaborate closely with surgeons and operating room staff
• Utilize Epic EHR for documentation and patient care management
• Ensure high-quality patient care and maintain professional standards
• Communicate effectively with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals
• Stay updated on the latest robotic surgery techniques and best practices
Additional Information:
• Must be licensed as a Physician Assistant in California
• Experience in general surgery and robotic-assisted procedures required
• Certification in robotic surgery, particularly with the DaVinci system, is essential
