 A hospital in Maryland is seeking a General Surgery Physician Assistant for a 45-day locum tenens assignment starting 09/01/2025. The ideal candidate will work 5-10 night shifts per month, from 7 PM to 7 AM. This role involves providing care for general surgery, GI, and vascular cases, including bread and butter general surgery, limb salvage, and wound care. The PA will handle various cases such as perforated ulcers, perforated viscus, and soft tissue issues. The position requires proficiency in Cerner EMR and a current Maryland license. There is a possibility for assignment extension.

• Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals

• Utilize Cerner EMR for patient documentation and management

• Ensure proper patient care and follow-up during night shifts

• Participate in handoffs and care transitions between shifts
