Job Description

We are actively seeking a dedicated General Surgery Physician Assistant for an engaging 36-day locum tenens assignment in Maryland, commencing Jun 1, 2026. This nocturnist position involves comprehensive inpatient general surgery floor coverage from 5pm-6am, focusing on cross-coverage for General, Vascular, and Gastroenterology services, monitoring post-op patients, and performing H&Ps on new surgical admissions. No procedures or first assist are required, with collaboration with on-call attending as needed.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide general surgery nocturnist APP coverage.
• Perform cross coverage of inpatient floors, including General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, and Gastroenterology.
• Monitor post-op surgery patients.
• Conduct H&Ps on new surgical admissions.
• Collaborate with on-call attending physicians as needed.
• Focus on Inpatient General Surgery floor coverage.
