Job Description

Our client in Maryland is seeking a skilled General Surgery Physician Assistant for a 52-day assignment, beginning May 4, 2026. This role involves 12-hour in-house night shifts, from 5p to 5a, with a focus on floor work, managing a wide range of general surgery, GI, and vascular cases, including limb salvage and wound care, with no operating room responsibilities.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform 12-hour in-house shifts
  • Focus on floor work, without operating room time
  • Work primarily night shifts, from 5p to 5a
  • Manage a vast majority of general surgery, GI, and vascular cases
  • Address bread and butter general surgery, limb salvage, and wound care needs
  • Handle cases such as perforated ulcers, perforated viscus, soft tissue issues, cold leg, aneurysms, and acute care surgical cases
  • Potentially assist with GYN and podiatry cases as able
  • Note: No cardiac or thoracic cases are involved
  • Assist with the development and implementation of a new robotics program in the near future
