Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Surgery - General Needed in NY

Job Description

We are seeking a General Surgery Physician Assistant for a 4-day assignment in New York, starting Jun 2, 2026. This role involves first assisting in the operating room, covering Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 3 PM with one night of call per week, alongside responsibilities for daily rounds, progress notes, and managing patient orders.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Serve as first assist in the operating room.
• Manage a variety of surgical cases including robotics (Da Vinci), OB (c sections), lumpectomies, hernias, laparoscopy, gallbladder, and appendix.
• Provide medical surgical floor coverage, including daily rounding and progress notes.
• Manage patient orders, admissions, discharges, and consults.
• Work primarily with General Surgery, OB/GYN, and Orthopedic patients.
