Job Description

Our client in NY is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant - Surgery - General to join their team for a 120-day assignment starting Mar 23, 2026. This role involves covering first assist duties and providing medical surgical floor coverage, including daily rounding and managing patient orders. The schedule offers flexibility with options for 5, 8-hour shifts or 4, 10-hour shifts, with some weekend rounding and call nights as needed to support comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide first assist support in the operating room.
• Cover medical surgical floor duties, including daily rounding and progress notes.
• Manage patient orders, admissions, discharges, and consultations.
• Work primarily with General Surgery, OB/GYN, and Orthopedic patients.
• Perform a variety of cases including robotics (Da Vinci), OB (c sections), lumpectomies, hernias, laparoscopy, gallbladder procedures, and appendectomies.
