We are seeking a General Surgeon for a 3-day locum tenens assignment in Massachusetts, starting Feb 6, 2026. This opportunity involves providing 24-hour call coverage (7a-7a) for unassigned and emergency department patients at a trauma facility, with coverage needed during holidays.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide general surgery call coverage for unassigned and ED patients
  • Perform surgical procedures (excluding endoscopy)
  • Consult on inpatients as needed
  • Manage cases at a trauma level 4 facility and Primary Stroke Center
  • Preferred skills: GI endoscopy, laparoscopic procedures, breast surgery, head/neck surgery, and other surgical specialties


Additional Information

  • Must be board certified or board eligible in General Surgery
  • Active Massachusetts medical license required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Fellowship training preferred
