Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide 24-hour weekend call coverage for a 49-bed hospital
  • Perform and manage general surgical cases (approximately 65 cases per month)
  • Cover 3 operating rooms, a 9-bed emergency department, and a 4-bed fast track unit
  • Perform ICU and critical care procedures as required
  • Respond to emergent and inpatient surgical needs
  • Utilize Epic EMR for clinical documentation and patient management

Additional Information
  • Must be board certified in General Surgery
  • Active North Carolina medical license required
  • Recent experience with general surgery cases preferred
  • Orientation required the day before first shift
