We are seeking a board-certified General Surgeon for a locum tenens assignment in North Carolina, starting Dec 29, 2025. This 9-day opportunity involves nights and weekends, covering 7a-7a shifts, with responsibilities in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including call coverage and potential ICU duties.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Manage outpatient clinic with up to 25 patient visits per day
  • Perform up to 8 elective surgical cases per day
  • Oversee an average total surgical inpatient census of 2
  • Handle approximately 1 admission per day
  • Provide consults and perform procedures in the emergency department during call
  • May be required to cover ICU/critical care duties
  • Attend orientation the day before the first shift

Additional Information
  • Active North Carolina medical license required
  • Board certification in General Surgery required
  • Recent general surgery case experience preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
