We are seeking a General Surgeon for a 12-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina, starting Jan 9, 2026. This opportunity involves 24-hour weekend call coverage with flexible off-site requirements. The General Surgeon will manage an average of 7-8 patients per day and participate in approximately 50 surgical cases per month.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide 24-hour weekend call coverage for general surgery cases
  • Manage 7-8 patients daily
  • Oversee 1-2 admissions during both day and night shifts
  • Perform and manage approximately 50 surgical cases per month
  • Respond to general surgical consults and emergencies as needed
  • Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation and workflow
  • No requirement to remain on-site while on call
  • No code response or ER backup duties

Additional Information
  • Current North Carolina medical license required
  • Board certification in General Surgery required
  • Recent general surgery case logs necessary
  • Experience with Epic EMR preferred
