We are seeking a General Surgeon for a 12-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina, starting Jan 9, 2026. This opportunity involves 24-hour weekend call coverage with flexible off-site requirements. Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide 24-hour weekend call coverage for general surgery cases
- Manage 7-8 patients daily
- Oversee 1-2 admissions during both day and night shifts
- Perform and manage approximately 50 surgical cases per month
- Respond to general surgical consults and emergencies as needed
- Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation and workflow
- No requirement to remain on-site while on call
- No code response or ER backup duties
Additional Information
- Current North Carolina medical license required
- Board certification in General Surgery required
- Recent general surgery case logs necessary
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
